    • Hey Jackie, WR, et al:

When is the deadline for those previously published at WR anthology submissions? I didn’t see a date, but hate to just assume that March 31, 2011 is the same deadline for the anthology as it is for the other submissions. Thanks. Look forward to all of this.

      Hey word riot,

I know you published one of my short stories but I can’t remember which one of the million and twenty it was. My name is Allen Cody Taube, do you have this info so I can enter your contest???

Ignore the above, I found it 2003 Sept. Thanks,

      Dear Jackie,

In Submishmash, my submission for the anthology appears as Accepted, but I didn’t receive an e-mail yet. Will you please e-mail me which poems are accepted?

      Thanks much,
      Claudia

Just wondering when the anthology is going to come out.

      Hi there,

Just wondering if anybody has received proofs or information about the anthology. I had a piece selected about a year ago, and I haven’t heard anything yet. I emailed to inquire, but I haven’t heard back, and so I’m just curious about whether or not the anthology is still in the works. I’m looking forward to it!

      Thanks,
      Nick

    • Nick, the anthology is in the works, we’re just–obviously–way behind schedule. The downside of being a one-woman show (with the assistance of some very able hands in the form of Kevin O’Cuinn and Nicolle Elizabeth) is that production falls into my lap. And the time demands of my day job haven’t left as much time for Word Riot-ing as I enjoyed in the past.

However, things are moving. A cover design is being worked on. Contracts will go out soon and we will be moving forward. I understand the frustration and I appreciate the infinite patience the contributors have shown.

I promise to be in touch soon with more information as soon as I have more information to give. While this project has been slow in getting off the ground (as has been the case with our other book projects in the past, as some of my authors can attest to), rest assured that when it is off the ground, I kick into high-gear. When a project is in motion I am a planning and organizing and marketing fiend and you will have my undivided attention.

      Jackie,

Thanks so much for the update! No worries about running behind– Lord knows that’s my typical modus operandi!– but I just wanted to check in and make sure it was still coming. I’m thrilled to be involved! Be well– sounds like you’ve got a ton going on just now.

      Take care,
      Nick
