The Broken Faucet by Meighan Freiling

Drip, drip, drip
Let’s watch some TV
It’s too early for bed
I’d like to see what’s on
Maybe “Rock of love”
Oh that’s right
That show is over
Now it’s “Daisy of love”
Or something like that
Honey turn on the TV
And drip, drip, drip

Did you see that
GM might file bankruptcy
It was on the news today
And even if they don’t
They are laying off
A lot of people
Those poor people
You give your life
For some corporate god
And end up with nothing
But drip, drip, drip

You know my dad
Lost all of his benefits
And health insurance
When the mill filed
Bankruptcy
But the former CEO
Still lives in his million dollar
Home on the hill
What do you say
We burn it down
We could make some
Molotov cocktails
And drip, drip, drip

Yes this is my last
Glass of wine
I’m not going to drink
Anymore tonight
And no I won’t
Smoke in the house
You go on ahead
To bed
I’ll just stay here
And watch some
More TV and
Honey turn out the
Light
I’ll just finish this
Last bit in the bottle
Goes drip, drip, drip
