About the author:
Mary McMyne is a fiction writer, poet, and essayist. Her work has recently appeared or is forthcoming in The Los Angeles Review, Painted Bride Quarterly, Pedestal Magazine, Narrative Northeast, and many other publications, including the anthologies The Way North and The Burden of Light: Poems on Illness and Loss. Her project re-imagining the Odysseus myth from the perspective of a Vietnam soldier’s wife won the Faulkner Prize for a Novel-in-Progress. She holds an MFA in fiction from New York University, and degrees in English and creative writing from Louisiana State University. Now an assistant professor at Lake Superior State University, she teaches English and creative writing and co-edits Border Crossing, a journal of literature and art.
